Cat Sitters who join Cat in a Flat
All of our cat sitters have to go through a thorough on-boarding process, submit fully completed profiles, provide proof of address and declare that they don't have a criminal record before they are allowed onto our website. During this process, we only approve one-third of all cat sitter applications that we receive.
If a cat sitter has a police check they need to provide a copy and their profiles will have a 'Police Checked' badge.
Please note: Police checks don't have an official expiry date and it's up to the cat owner to decide if they accept the sitter's or not.
We encourage all cat sitters and owners to meet in person beforehand - this allows you to get to know the sitter, see how they get on with your kitty and decide whether you would like to go ahead with the booking or not. Also request that the cat sitter sends you daily photo updates for extra peace of mind.
If you do decide to go ahead with a cat sitter please make sure you book and pay through the system as this validates the Cat in a Flat Guarantee for your cat and the cat minder.
